We are incredibly proud of Team X-Stream’s accomplishment, Reaching the World Championship is a significant feat in itself, and the positive impact they made on the competition is a true testament to their dedication and hard work.

The Vex IQ Robotics Competition is a global phenomenon, with over 8,500 teams from 45 countries participating in over 900 tournaments throughout the year. The competition format offers a multi-stage challenge, with local, regional, and national qualifiers leading up to the prestigious World Championship.

The competition itself tests a wide range of skills, with three distinct challenges:

  • Teamwork Challenge: Two teams collaborate to maximize their score on the competition field.
  • Robot Skills Challenge: Individual robots compete against the clock, showcasing their design, maneuverability, and functionality.
  • STEM Research Project: Students utilize the scientific method to research and solve a real-world problem, demonstrating their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Team X-Stream’s success at the World Championship highlights the well-rounded educational experience offered by the TEECS Vex IQ program. The program fosters collaboration, robotics expertise, and scientific inquiry, preparing students for future success in STEM fields.

Congratulations again to Team X-Stream and the entire TEECS Vex IQ program! A special thank you to their coach, Dr. Samuel Obeng, for his dedication and support to this team. We look forward to hearing about their continued success in the future!
