Help FTC Team Energysmart 11754 Get to Worlds!

At Thomas Edison Energysmart Charter School (TEECS), the high-school Robotics team consists of committed individuals working tirelessly to perform as a team at the highest level, building upon teamwork skills needed in our future careers to bridge our individual flaws in order to create the best machines. But our mission does not end at robotics; making an impact in local and international communities is a huge part of our work. We have reached out to numerous countries, including India, Kazakhstan, Albania, Romania, Tanzania, Canada, England, and many more. We mentored a team in Kazakhstan, and even inspired a group of kids in England to start their own FLL team.
Currently, our robotics teams build robots for competitions in the First Tech Challenge(FTC), organized by FIRST Robotics. Valuable engineering, programming, and design skills are paired with teamwork skills and are necessary to learn in order to compete at the highest level. Our team is evident of that, with multiple awards won and entries as finalists and semifinalists in multiple state championships as well as qualification for the world championship. In addition, the school is reviewing a few other Robotics competitions including an international event. While we’re fortunate to have a conducive environment at school, there is no denying that a Robotics program is an expensive endeavor. Funding plays a key role and dictates our calendar and the events we could compete in. The combined cost of parts and tools, to build mission-ready robots for each of these competitions, travel and other expenses for students and mentors, is upwards of $10,000.
We are seeking funding from those who are aligned with our belief that supporting Robotics is an investment in the future. We believe in educating the younger generations to love robotics just as much as we do. To us, robotics has been an incredibly inspiring experience that has provided us with many important skills for future endeavors. For this reason, we are starting an advertising campaign to raise robotics awareness with the intent of sharing our knowledge with everyone around us. We can’t overstate the overarching impact Robotics programs continue to have on each of us in imparting teamwork, problem-solving, critical thinking, engineering and design skills.
As we prepare for this competition, we are actively seeking sponsorships to provide us with monetary support for our trip to Houston. As well as our Houston trip we are still taking donations for our international robotics initiative.
We are committed to educational outreach and have impacted over 1000+ students across nine countries internationally through our workshops and mentorship programs. Our goal is to create a passion for robotics and engineering in the younger generation, fostering innovation and creativity on a global scale.
Any support, would be immensely appreciated and directly contribute to the advancement of STEM education and youth empowerment.
