TEECS Celebrates Walk to School / Hispanic Heritage Celebration

Today, we held our annual Walk to School event. Staff and students gathered at the Sonnova parking lot across the street. During the walk, students held signs that they made and banners displaying the event. A special thank you to the Franklin Township Police Department for helping everyone make it safely to the school soccer field. Once gathered on the field, Green Team students made speeches about the importance of the event and the positive impact made on the environment.

In addition to Walk to School Day, TEECS took this opportunity to celebrate National Spanish Heritage Month. Students made speeches about important Spanish figures and their contributions, performed dances including the Macarena, and used instruments to create songs.

It was a great morning of celebration!
