17 Feb NJDEP Climate Change Workshop at TEECS
On Wednesday, February 16th, TEECS held a Professional Development workshop for our teachers in grades 3-12. We welcomed Mr. Mrac Rogoff from the NJ Department of Environment Protection. He led the session on Global Climate Change focusing on climate, water, and resilience.
This was extremely beneficial for teachers to learn how to unfold climate change standards using practical hands-on activities. In 2020, the New Jersey Student Learning Standards review included climate change performance expectations across multiple disciplines. This session will help our teachers continue to meet this expectation and incorporate what they learned into their everyday lessons.
