07 Apr TEECS American Rocketry Club earning a place in the Top 100 National Finals of the 2026 American Rocketry Challenge!
Congratulations to the TEECS American Rocketry Club of Thomas Edison EnergySmart Charter School for advancing to the Top 100 National Finals of the 2026 American Rocketry Challenge!
We proudly celebrate Coach Mr. Ben and student team members Avyaya, Shaun, Haris, Conrad, and Levent for this outstanding achievement. TEECS is one of only 6 schools from New Jersey to qualify for the National Finals in Virginia, a remarkable honor and a reflection of the team’s hard work, talent, and perseverance.
With a record-breaking 1,107 teams participating across the country, only the Top 100 earned a place in the finals. On May 16 in Virginia, the TEECS team will compete for $100,000 in awards, the title of National Champion, and the opportunity to represent the United States at the International Rocketry Challenge during the Farnborough International Airshow 2026.
Our Rocketry Club is important because it brings classroom learning to life. Students engage in hands-on aerospace engineering, data analysis, problem-solving, collaboration, and innovation. Experiences like this inspire future scientists, engineers, and leaders while showing what our students can achieve through dedication and teamwork.
Good luck, TEECS Rocketry Club, your school community is proud of you!
