X-Stream Team Earns 41st Place at International Championship After Progressing through Regional and State Competitions
Somerset, NJ — May 2026 — The Thomas Edison EnergySmart Charter School (TEECS) proudly announces that its VEX IQ Robotics Team, X-Stream, has achieved an exceptional milestone at the VEX IQ Robotics World Championship, securing 41st place in their division among hundreds of elite teams from across the globe.
The team’s success reflects a rigorous and highly competitive journey. X-Stream advanced through regional competitions before earning qualification for the New Jersey State Championship held at New Jersey Institute of Technology. From there, they qualified for the world championship in St. Louis, where top teams representing schools from across the United States and numerous countries competed at the highest level of elementary robotics.
Out of hundreds of participating schools worldwide, X-Stream distinguished itself through advanced engineering design, strategic problem-solving, and exceptional teamwork—ultimately placing among the top 50 teams in their division on the global stage.
“This accomplishment represents months of dedication, innovation, and perseverance,” said school leadership. “Competing at the world level and finishing 41st is a significant achievement that reflects both the students’ hard work and the strength of our STEM programs at TEECS.”
The X-Stream team members—Aarav, Aniketh, Malav, and Nikhil—demonstrated outstanding commitment throughout the season, consistently rising to each level of competition and representing their school and community with excellence.
