TEECS recognizes Math Competition Achievements!

emuel, TEECS 12th grade student, earned a 145.5 on the AMC 12, which placed him on the Honor Roll with Distinction (top 1% of test takers nationally). He also qualified for the AIME and scored a 13/15, which allowed him to advance to the USAMO invitational exam. Only around 300 students nationwide advance to USAMO, and Jemuel is the first student in our school’s history to reach that level.
Shrey, TEECS 12th grade student, also earned a 145.5 on the AMC 12, achieving Honor Roll with Distinction (top 1% nationally), and qualified for the AIME as well. On AIME, Shrey scored a 12/15, a strong result on an invitational-level exam.
Shrey and Jemuel were also the first students from our school to take the AIME, marking a huge milestone for our math community.
The AMC (American Mathematics Competitions), administered by the Mathematical Association of America, is one of the most well-known math competition programs in the country. The AMC 12 is a highly competitive national exam, and top scorers can qualify for the AIME (American Invitational Mathematics Examination). Advancing beyond AIME to USAMO represents one of the highest levels of achievement in high school mathematics competitions and reflects exceptional problem-solving ability, preparation, and perseverance.
