TEECS Middle School Model UN Team Represents Seven Nations at United Nations Model UN Program

New York, NY — February 26, 2026 — Thomas Edison EnergySmart Charter School (TEECS) proudly congratulates our Middle School Model United Nations (MUN) team for an exceptional year of preparation and participation in the United Nations Model UN program.

This year, TEECS students are representing seven countries across multiple committees: United States, China, Russia, Brazil, India, the United Kingdom, and Mexico. Through rigorous research, teamwork, diplomacy, and public speaking, our delegates have been developing the skills needed to think critically about global issues and collaborate toward solutions.

As part of today’s competition experience, the team also had the unique opportunity to visit the United Nations, where they attended a session and gained an inspiring, real-world view of international dialogue and leadership.

We are incredibly proud of our students for the dedication they have shown, writing position papers, practicing committee procedure, and preparing thoughtful resolutions. TEECS extends special appreciation to our coaches for their commitment, guidance, and support.
