29 Aug TEECS First Day of School Festivities!
On Thursday, August 28th, Thomas Edison EnergySmart Charter School officially welcomed students back for the first day of the 2025–2026 school year. The excitement was contagious as students arrived on campus—some stepping off bright yellow school buses, others dropped off by smiling parents eager to capture the moment.
In front of the school building, families paused to take pictures, preserving the joy of the first day. The youngest students, especially those in Kindergarten through 2nd grade, were greeted with special traditions that have become a hallmark of TEECS: colorful balloon creations, cheerful face painting, and even a petting area with friendly animals, such as sheep, chickens and rabbits…
The laughter and bright smiles of the children set the tone for the day. Students were not only happy to see their teachers and classmates again but also thrilled to be part of the welcoming, family-like atmosphere that defines TEECS. The energy in the air was one of renewal, community, and the promise of another great year ahead.
