TEECS Student – Finalist of National Speech & Debate Association’s Student of the Year

Congratulations! One student from TEECS, a finalist of the National Speech & Debate Association’s Student of the Year award, is among the 140,000 finalists.
The National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA) has unveiled the finalists for the esteemed 2024 Student of the Year award.
Anika Parthiban—Thomas Edison EnergySmart Charter School, New Jersey “Speech and Debate has empowered me to become a catalyst for change. It has taught me to challenge injustices, elevate unheard voices, and advocate for solutions that have a lasting impact on society.”
The finalists will participate in interviews with a panel of esteemed educators during the National Speech & Debate Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa. The winner will be announced at the High School Awards Assembly on June 21, 2024. This event is a culmination of the hard work and dedication of nearly 140,000 student members of the NSDA.
