Congratulations to our National Merit Semifinalists and Commended Students in the 2024 PSAT/NMSQT Competition!

TEECS is pleased to announce that seven seniors have been named Semifinalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Recently, officials of National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced the names of approximately 16,000 Semifinalists in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program. Congratulations to Yusuf, Mina, Rishi, Maryam, Udgita, Anika, and Juhi.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation seeks to identify academically talented students throughout the United States. Of the roughly 1.3 million students who applied for the program this year, only about 16,000 were selected to become semifinalists,and roughly 7,500 National Merit Scholarships are awarded annually. The scholarships are worth a total of more than $31 million.

Students are selected for recognition in this contest based on their outstanding academic records and participation in school activities, as well as their performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
