TEECS School Garden

This morning, Thomas Edison EnergySmart Charter School held the inauguration of their school garden.  Elementary students came to witness the ribbon cutting ceremony which was conducted by the school’s special guests: Veronique Lambert, Program Coordinator from Sustainable Jersey for Schools and Sheridan Balmeo, Regional Public Affairs Manager from PSE&G. Students sang a song about loving our Earth, followed by remarks from our honored guests. Following the ceremony, students and guests took part in planting herbs that will be shared with the school cafeteria throughout the year. TEECS is well on their way to becoming a Sustainable Jersey School!
